Following a change in the structure of the SEN team at Wreake we are seeking a Head of Inclusion who is ambitious for the students and staff, knowledgeable in their approach to SEND and ethical in their views of education. A person who has the passion and commitment to help the school in the next stages of its development working as part of a high functioning SEND team across Wreake and within the Bradgate Inclusion Centre.

The school provides 11-18 education with Bradgate Sixth Form and the Bradgate Inclusion Centre. The Bradgate Inclusion Centre (BInC) is an enhanced resource base for students in KS3 and KS4. It is designed for students with a communication and interaction need, a primary need on their EHCP. Wreake Valley Academy is a true comprehensive school open and welcoming to all students. It has a broad and inclusive curriculum that has been created to instil a love of learning and pride in the accomplishments of the students. At Wreake Valley Academy there is a belief in the power of education to create opportunities for students that will travel with them beyond their time at school.

The role of Head of Inclusion will be a rewarding one, as there will be the opportunity to make immediate lasting impacts for the students. The ideal candidate will:

• Hold QTS status

• Have previous experience of working with SEND students

• Have the SENCO qualification or be working towards

• Be able to demonstrate success at leading school improvement and raising education standards for children

• Possess the ability to engage with staff, sharing best practice and T&L strategies

• An excellent written and verbal communicator

• Align to the mission, vision and values of Bradgate Education Partnership
