An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bradgate Education Partnership as a Premises Officer on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2027 for 37 hours per week. 

Working closely with the Headteacher, Trust Estates Team and wider school colleagues, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the school site while supporting ongoing improvements to the estate. You will be responsible for the maintenance, security, cleanliness and overall management of the school's premises and grounds, ensuring a safe, secure, clean and well-maintained environment for pupils, staff, visitors and other users. The role includes overseeing site security, carrying out and coordinating maintenance activities, supervising contractors where required, and ensuring the school facilities are maintained to a high standard and remain compliant with relevant health and safety requirements.

This fixed-term role is to cover a period of sickness absence and will continue until 31st August 2027 or the return of the substantive postholder, whichever is sooner. If the substantive postholder returns before this date, the successful candidate may be required to work at another school within Bradgate Education Partnership, subject to the needs of the Trust.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience working alongside a small team of premises support staff.

• Knowledge of Health & Safety issues including legislation and COSHH

• Ability to work in a busy school environment supporting with the on-going maintenance of the school site

• Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to prioritise workload
